4 things that are going to help us start afresh
Philippians 3:5- 11
• Paul was born in a good religious heritage and he had a religious affiliation. He was a Pharisee, a law strict follower. He discovered that religion does not take you to haven. He had a zeal for God, as he persecuted the Christians. He thought he was working for God by doing that.
• All those he counted as gain, he counts it as loss for Christ
• It is not by our righteousness, because all our righteousness is just filthy rags before the lord
• It is according to His mercy that he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit
• Titus 3:5
• There is only one way to heaven, which is Jesus Christ
• The righteousness from God is received by faith through Jesus Christ
We need to purpose to :
1. know God personally.
2. Know Christ powerfully and the power of resurrection. Develop a relationship with God
3. Know Christ painfully (fellowship of His suffering)
4. Put the past behind you. Revelation 2:10. Satan is the accuser of the brethren. He makes you feel guilty of the wrongdoings in the past.
5. We put the past behind us by putting away all the bitterness and forgive
6. Hebrews 12:14-15
7. Ephesians 4:31-32
8. The root of bitterness can cause a lot of trouble to you and to others. Be kind to one another.

In summary
1. Get your eternal destiny settled
2. Get to know God in His fullness
3. Put the past behind us
4. Persevere in pursuing Christ
